love this- especially the reading goals! it’s so nice to be intentional about reading.

if you’re looking for fantasy with some romance, I’d recommend The House in the Cerulean Sea. It is the sweetest and most adorable book I’ve ever read! 💖 I also read tons of sci fi but don’t want to recommend anything without knowing what you’re looking for.

I'm hoping to read less and more intentionally this year as well. I'm also overdue for culling my bookshelves. I keep a box of items to donate to a LFL in the back of my trunk. Agree that once you make your own dressing you won't turn back! I love making an orange vinaigrette (I cannot spell that word without autocorrect) for winter salads.

My reading goal for 2024 is to read at least 30 books which is the goal I missed last year. Reading every book I bought before buying new ones is one of the most important things for me and the only way to not loose the grip on my ever expanding tbr. 😅

That TJ’s candle is intriguing, but not something I want to burn in my home! Though I’d gladly eat a chocolate-filled croissant...while reading a good book, of course.

Hi Alexis, just a note to say I’m so happy to have come across your newsletter! So keen to read through your archive ☺️

I think for me, over having bookish goals this year I want to have more intentional “bookish time” - ie device free time, preferably in the sun, reading my books 📚

I turned 30 last year too! What a great idea to read a book published 30 years ago. I want to give that a try this year.

My number 1 goal is to read more of the books on my shelves too. I love getting e-books from the library and buying more books, of course, but it's past time to get to some that I've owned for a couple of years and never read!

I've only really been a fantasy reader since 2020. I started off with YA fantasy and it did help me to transition into adult fantasy. You could also start with something that falls under "romantasy" because I think you'd be most likely to enjoy those!
