Currently reading What Lies in the Woods by Kate Alice Marshall and it's gripping. I finished Don't Let Her Stay by Nicola Sanders and it left me disturbed. Definitely recommend both thrillers.
We all learnt at school not to write in books, but this is a crazy taboo. Just write in them. Make sure you write your name on one of the first pages and the date you acquired the book, then write away. In 100 years when you are posthumously famous your books will be a rich source for the many scholars who are immortalising you.
I’m so fascinated by the ways people annotate their books, and love your color coding methods. For me, I just underline beautiful quotes and stick a book dart on the page in case I want to come back to it.
